Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to provide and improve products and services for clients are:

• Contract – we have to collect or use the information so we can enter into or carry out a contract with you. All of your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.
• Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:

  • 1. The company has a genuine business interest in providing house clearance services, managing customer relationships, and growing its business. Processing personal data (like names, contact details, property addresses) is necessary to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, schedule work, and physically perform the contracted clearance services. There is an interest in managing internal operations efficiently, including staff allocation, quality control, preventing fraud or misuse of services, and maintaining accurate business records. The company needs to keep records to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax, accounting, waste disposal regulations) and to establish or defend potential legal claims.  2.The processing described is necessary because the house clearance service cannot be effectively or lawfully provided without this personal information. For example, the company needs an address to perform the service and contact details for communication and billing. The same purpose could not reasonably be achieved in a less intrusive way (e.g., using anonymous data) because the service requires interaction with specific individuals at specific properties.  3. The processing is typically within the reasonable expectations of individuals who engage a house clearance company, as they expect their data to be used to facilitate the service they requested. The impact on the individual\'s privacy is likely to be minimal, as the data collected is relevant and limited to what is needed for the service.
